Welcome to Stevns

Stevns municipality is part of the area known as Køge Bay, just south of Copenhagen. Stevns is a large and scenically attractive municipality that offers plenty of possibilities to establish large businesses. Approximately 25 per cent of the 22,000 inhabitants commute to jobs outside the municipality, which is a much lesser proportion than in surrounding municipalities. Local income levels reflect the national average and the establishment rate for new businesses is relatively high.

Local collaboration between the Køge Bay municipalities of Greve, Solrød, Køge and Stevns has greatly benefited local businesses and consequently the failure rate among start-up businesses has been significantly reduced. The long-term goal is to increase the number of local businesses by working actively to create a healthy business environment.
