Working across Øresund

With the bridge across the Øresund commuting between Denmark and Sweden is easy. Read about living in one country and working in another.

The Øresund region – enveloping Denmark and Sweden – is the new regional centre of Northern Europe. With Copenhagen as the pivotal point, this is where Central and Northern Europe meet.

Agreements between the Danish and Swedish government have broken down many barriers and enabled the free movement of labour between the two countries. For instance, neither residence nor work permit are required for Danes and Swedes in order to work across the border.

  1. The Øresund region – two countries, one location
  2. Differences in working conditions
  3. Working in Copenhagen and living in Sweden
  4. Crossing the Øresund
  5. Links to the Øresund region
